Prayers Needed

Im sending this blog out for one reason today and that is for sweet little Caleb Porter. He fell from a balcony about 12 feet up and landed on the concrete below at church last night. He was taken to the hospital here in Vicksburg and then airlifted to Batson Children Hospital in Jackson. He has a broken eye socket, broken nose, fractured skull, brain bleed and bumps and bruises all over his tiny body. He is meeting with the neurologist, plastic surgeon and opthamologist at some point today or tomorrow about his head and eye. Please pray for  this sweet little boy and his parents as they need all the prayers they can get right now. Caleb is doing as good as can be expected. He was sitting up and watching cartoons this morning. Lord, please wrap your loving arms around Caleb and heal his broken body and take the pain away. Please allow his parents to keep their faith in you and see how glorious you are and that you are the greatest physician there is! Lord, look over the doctors and nurses and let them provide the best care possible for him. Amen!

Our Little Family

Well as most of you already know, we have three very beautiful children. Saylee Grace-4, John Thomas-18 months and Mary Morgan-6months. We are very blessed to have three very beautiful and somewhat healhty children. My babies are my world and wouldnt know what to do without them. They all have such different personalities but yet so much alike. I'll give a little update on each of them. Saylee Grace just turned 4 on July 31 and she had the "bestest" birthday ever (that is what she told me after her party was over)! She is such a smart and sassy little thing. She does come by it honestly...from her daddy of course! She is so upset she wasn't able to start K4 or big school as she calls it. She wasn't accepted into the K4 program here in Vicksburg so we will be starting Kindergarten next August! People say she looks just like me but I still think she is the spitting image of her daddy! That girl of mine does have my attitude and my love for shoes. We were very excited when all the church programs started back up last week. We love teaching Saylee Grace about Jesus and how wonderful he is! It is the most precious thing to listen to her pray every night. We read a bible story every night and new prayer out of her prayer book every night. She can even tell you what story or prayer is next when I forget. She is getting so big and grown, it feels like it was just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital! I couldnt imagine my life with out my little Saylee Bug!
It's a blessing she loves going to school at Porter's Chapel academy!
John Thomas is something else, let me tell ya! He is pure little boy, no doubt it! He has momma's heart in the palm of his hands when he bats those baby blues and says "Mommy"! Praise the Lord, we are somewhat getting over being sick all the time. I cant knock on wood today b/c my sweet boy isnt feeling too good! Im not sure if it is his ears or teething. Andrew is at the doctor with him now! Will keep everyone updated on how he is feeling! He has grown into a little man in the past several months as he lost alot of his little chunkiness. He doesnt look like the same little baby anymore. He adores his big sister and his little sister so much! I hope as he gets older, he still feels that way. My girls are a handful and I need my little man to look after them! Mary Morgan will be 6 months old on Wednesday!  I cant beleive how quickly time as passed. It was about this time last year when we were telling everyone we were pregnant with # 3! My how things change so quickly! Little miss priss is growing so much in her personality and her looks! She looks just like John Thomas but with dark skin and dark complexion. She is a happy soul no matter if she is sick or not! She has started to move around the floor, like she wants to crawl but we arent quite there yet! She just talks and laughs all the time! I do beleive she favors her paw paw a little with that wild, crazy hair. At least one of my babies resembles the Abraham side of the family!  I cant wait to watch all of them grow up and see how different they each are! I hope that my kids will be as close to one another as Andrew and I are to our sisters! Our little family is now complete! Yes I said complete with no smiley faces and giggles this time! We cant if you know what I mean!

Andrew returned back to work at the Vicksburg Fire Department in June and he is so happy to be back working! Praise Jesus for the hardships and trials we faced during that time. Thank the Lord for a GREAT support system from our family and friends out there! We cant say THANK YOU enough!  The past two weeks have been a little rough on Andrew, he had to take Driver/Operator training in order to drive the fire truck! He passed with flying colors. I knew he would though! Its hard trying to study with 3 kids running around like crazy! Hopefully, within the next year, he will get to go to Paramedic school! That would be awesome for him and also financially. I have began a new adventure in marketing and sales. Its something I've done a little bit of but Im used to being a lab rat or bank teller! So far Im loving my job! I cant wait to see what the future holds.

Thank you all, family and friends, for being there for our family as we went through hardships, some sick babies, and just some plain out bad luck! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I'M NOT SURE I COULD SAY IT ENOUGH!

This is my first blog!!

So I've seen a bunch of friends with blogs so I decided I would start blogging as well. I believe it is a good way for me to keep up with family and friends....vice versa! Let me start out by saying, I'm really excited about this whole blogging thing. As a mother of three who works full time, it is very difficult and tiring trying to keep up with whats going in all my family and friends lives! I'm hoping by starting this blog will help me keep with everyone and for everyone to keep up with me! I know Facebook is very popular and a great way to keep up with everyone, but not everyone needs to know everything!
